Deerest

Two little foals circle the groundsDearTwo
Confused as to which way to go
Rains coming down in bucketing rounds
Wicked winds rampage and blow

Round and around in the grips of confusion
Scampering ungodly hills of delusion
Bounding in manic protrusions of fear
So many nearby–but nobody deer
to help it all make any sense

Soaked to the bone
Tired. Alone
All that they want is to find a way home
But all the world reers with affence

The Great Rearranger

Over the hills and out to the seas
Where the islands are statues that blow in the breeze
With old flowing haircuts of cloud forest trees
That’s where there be monsters

Pack light
Face lined
If you’ve a past, leave it behind
We’re going to go where the future is blind
We’re going to the land that wanders

And if you’ve not virtue
And if you’ve not purpose
And if you’ve not knowing of whether it’s worthless
to battle or rattle your bones
Be ready to change your beliefs on a whim~
For we go to the land of unknowns

Fear-it’s go in
Spirits come out
Gods are found peering in shadows of doubt
And even a whimper belongs as a shout
In the land of the hammering haunters

I give you my ring
I give you my key
I give you the things that I’ll never need
I give you my living so I may be freed
to a land that spans
with all that’s at hand
on the arm of the great undoing
I give no assurance that it shall be grand
Plentiful, bounded or fewing

We go with no reason
No heartache, nor treason
We go in the season of change
We go with no knowing of safety or danger
No sharing of lust in the noble or stranger
We go on the gust of the great rearranger
We go to a land rearranged

Toxic Box-in

Vid IconI’ve a contingency for virility
An instinction to pronounce
The facts of this facsimile
of the world that we renounce

The Great Paper-Trail Caper! of the later 2000’s
Lost in the crossways of invisible mountains
of toxic indoctrines that locks it to bars
of iron-wrought pox in this box-in of ours

But where are the holes of oxygen leakings?
Where’s the patrols of paradoxical teachings?
Where’s our paroles from the roles that we’re leading?

We’re so lost in the goals of the old and unneeding
That we’ve forgotten to bandage our souls that are bleeding

Golden Roads

Beholden the golden old roads that we follow
Twined between tree trunks now rotten and hollow
In a forest we built in an age when the sages
Stood upon stilts and knew how to turn pages

But today the old books got the looks of the warring
Torn in the corners and dusty from storing.
And the language it spells isn’t known anymore
~It’s so hard to tell what the pictures are for

And beholden a time when the tune that they knew
Will pour from the twines of the forest they grew
Rung through the roots, and sung from the branchers
Hung in the fruits that they seeded with answers
To dance in a canter of caroling chorus
…as soon as we care about faring a forest

For these days it all seems
Like those crazy old dreams
Were the rantings of humans ungrown

As we race to the shelves
Just to poison ourselves
Unballing what calling our home

Beholden the olden-day molds that we hollow
To fill with a pill getting too big to swallow
Watch as we wither of wanting and wallow~
The wandered old loads of the roads that we follow

Please

Make sway my slumbers
Derail my mind
Let go these numbers judging blind

Undo these bumbling
grind reminders
ever stumbling
Shed these blinders

Rid my life of all this trash
That hid my eyes
And brought this rash
Of loss and lies and burning rage
Of tastless ties and wasted days
Of lazy rambles, crazy blame
Shatters, shambles, shacks and shame

Quit this game
Just grant release
And this time help me mean it
…please

Clouded Vision

Heavens Pic

A shine divine in times of trouble
A sing of things to come

Within the rims of crimson rubble
Or in a handsome hum

Oh humbled mucks of dim diviners
And tumbled lucks abound

How lowly lie the little liners
With heavens shining down

Away, Away

Away, Away
  and back again
Through unknown days
  and rays that bend
Away, Away
  through thick and thin
For I’ve no other way

The world spans wicked thicket marshes
Moutains tall as ten-day marches
Fields and fields of golden starches
Out beyond these walls

And there be skies that dance with dreams
And there be thoughts that pour with streams
And there be lands that pop the seams
Of all we’ve ever known

We’re all alone, I’ve come to see
In terms of what we’re going to be
And we can catch what others free
And say that it’s our own

Or we can stand alone and say
Perhaps it’s time…
Away, Away!

For there’s a world that’s calling me
And if I’ve not the mind to heed
Then how to say that I am freed
Of all that holds me back?

Away, Away
  sweet comforts worn!
Away, Away
  I must be torn!
To find a way to be reborn
A way, time and again

And true, I will return my friend
I simply need the time
To dive into the deeper end
Of what I have in mind

For there’s a world inside of me
that needs to be explored

Away, Away ~ I say again
It cannot be ignored

Frosty2

The fog rolls on conveyor belts
across the glassy water
Frost grips with its fractal claws
to every blade of grass

My breath entombs in pillow plumes
when all goes still to shutter
The shadow blanket peeled back
by sunlight’s glowing mass

Understandings of the Day

Embarrassment is a much-hindered ally
Hidden behind enemy lines

Who attacks with the knowledge that hurts us the most
To help us let go such designs

Blessed is the mindset that finds errors in others
Not for the struggle of ego it delves
But rather the gift of the clarity given
To others… to learn of ourselves

Orb it

I dream of the days when I don’t have to chase
myself around racing to clean
The garbage I’m constantly throwing about
Not seen until after it’s been

I dream of a seeing inside of my being
That knows of it all the much sooner…
But the closer I get to that hard inner pit
Through practice of coming in tuner
The more the idea that I know what I’m doing
Sends me off on the path of a lunar

Spear it

Let me soar on the plumes of possibility
Like a hawk on the updrafts of air

Let me catch onto slippery moments in time
With powerful pause
like a bear

Let me gallivant weightless on deer feet
Let me slip through the clutter like hare
Let me look at the world with the eyes of a lynx
In a clearly lit phosphorous flare

Let me share in the wisdom of nature
Let me care with the heart at its core
Just let me bear witness to the infinite dream

Then slip ~like a mink~  from its shore

Gross

There’s a swamp here
A clustered, stagnant, slimy swamp
With muck at the bottom
And reeds toiling through brown, smelly water

And the creek that feeds it is crystal
And the sky above it is blue
And the birds in the air
Often come here to roost
In the the cluster, the fluster, the goo

And somewhere is a lake with round shiny pebbles
And somewhere is a beach full of sand
And somehwere is a river that rings out in trebles
Singing its way through the land

And I stare at the nettle weeds
The algaes, the skippers
The insects that frenzy
The tadpoles and grippers
That slip in and out of the slime

And see the creek’s clearer
The river’s sublime
The lake is a mirror
And the beach is divine

But the swamp, with its festers and nesters is rife

The swamp, with its creatures
Its breedings
Is Life

I Came to a Place

I came to a place on a hill with a cave
Overlooking a lake and a forest

I came to a place, as if by the will
Of some hidden bidding or chorus

I came to a place where the mountains are Giants
And a meadowland carpets the floor
I came in the face of my inner defiance
In hoping that somehow there’s more

I came to a place
A mystical place
Where the cooing goose sail
And the white-tail chase
And the faces of cliffs stare in momentous ways
That echo the days of the past

Where the mist in the morning
Is kisses in warning
That sunshine is breaking at last

I came to a place where the cool in the air
Livens the lungs, and the rains of despair
Are caught by the tongue
And taste just as sweet as the river

I came to a place where a choir is sung
By the birds and the winds that is hung in the air
Like a time I was young and I flung out my care
To the world in a ravishing quiver

I came to a place where the sky paints a sense
Of a world with a flowing emotion
And then when it’s darkened the starlight is harkened
With the shock of a diamond strung ocean
And this lotion of humilty just pours out the night
And my tears seem to wish fractal webs on my sight
And I almost can’t take all the might I’ve been missing
As I fight ‘gainst myself for the life I’ve been wishing
And break down inside, but the world keeps on dishing
And swishing with spirits I’m always dismissing
Just bursting with flourishing gall!

Then in rolls the mist with her peppercorn kiss
Just when I’m losing it all

And little by little a sky comes awake
And little by little I let go my shaking
As the sun wakes the mountains, the birds and the lake
I see that I’m also awaking

~ * ~

I came to a place, as if by a grace
That knew I had worry and doubt

I came to a place…I came to a place
And somebody different came out

Empty Statute

Oh sweet lapse of budding garments
Clothing oft this man-o-kin
Shifting eyes to lost environments
Ever-spanned in front of him

And yet, it fashions pair-o-docks
Worn oft on defeet

For inside him is hollow doubt
From never looking in
But if he’s not been looking out…
Where’s his headspace been?

Morning Prayer

Today I will rise with the sun
My food will be simple ~ from the earth
I will roam freely, cradling a wondrous eye
My actions will be full of purpose, never outlasting their need
The people I meet will feel enchanted, for they are weaving wonders
And my trail will be soft, for it is walked in the sea of a dream
That laps at the shore of our truth

To darken views, except for one

Guardener

Somewhere, there are the hands of a horticulturist
Pruning branches with mangled ends
And others that don’t stimulate growth

The plants suffer and must heal
But later they may understand
It made them healthier, fuller

While others yet may see
That by growing in healthy directions sooner
They can avoid much of the pruning

Dive In

Crack me alive
Snap vigor inside me
Thrive

Grip staples of spiked reality
And crush it open with a ripened fist

aaaah….

Hello you old doll

You plum trigger of levity
gushing flagrant strips of conciousness

I remember your sense of tottering on the cusp
Looming like a shadow over eternity’s chasm of the unknown

Stretching outward into the moment whirlwinding around me
in a lush ballet of cavorting omnipotence

Flush the blood out my pores in a reeking nectar of aliveness
that ushers the doorways to your infinity

Welcome back you slugger of freshness
I imagine some people call you divinity

The Break of Dusk

When the day is stalking dusk
And crows are flocking south
When the sun is but a sigh
And sky, an open mouth

The day lets out the last its breath
And silence strikes the veil
Ringing out a stilling heft
Before the night’s inhale
