She doesn’t even know how far ahead she is…
She looks around with steady eyes
at the younger~ The vibes, the tries and the hunger
that drives them to hunker these mountains that boom
Thriving for conquest and largeness and room
Taking on monsters they’ve hardly yet heard
Barring blind courage to conquer and stir
the stews that we oft go and throw up in chunks
Stars in our eyeballs
Balls in our junk
And the pain and the rampage and the carnage we tear
out from the courage-held chests that we bare
Till our hearts are in shredded little parts at our feet
And we curse at a world so immersed in deceit
And never again will we walk with such spines
Stuck like a pole upon heaven’s designs
Never again will we fall prey to the light
That burns with such life that we lose all in sight
Our paths become tip-toes
Our worlds become dim
Stuck with the burs of the worries within
Of the failure at hand
Of the pressure at head
The traps where we stand
And the measures we dread
And so starts the long walk of adulthood’s clime
Onward uphill, and backward in time
To find… oh to find… that soul-shining place
When the whole of our life was a kitten we chase
Was a magic we hold, was a smitten-drawn lover
Beholding our dawn like there wasn’t another
And all that went on, and all that would be
Was only as far as our blue eyes could see
And, like the whisper of sunglight
Like the first star to shine
It beckons us forth to the north of our climb
A curious sign
That subtlest hint
That fixes our mind on that whispering glint
And up now we tip-toe
Forward we crawl
To yonder stood mountain to behold it all
And there’s dangers, we’ve learned
There’s strangers with knives
Demons that burn
And gods that take lives
~*~ Years.
It’s years
It’s decades…
It’s youth ~
The price that we pay just to purchase the proof
That the truth of the world was always the same~
The stalls and the walls and the falls and the pain
Till we wake on a day
We peak on the sky
We gaze with the eyes of a life that’s gone by
At the rise, at the rise of a soul in the skies
At the size of a wholeness we knew
At the proof of the truth that our youth wasn’t lies
And we haven’t a guess what to do…
Was it the journey? Was it the tears?
Or was it the whish of the passing of years?
Or is it that once you catch an imp by the ears
That he heaps in a breath, and his form dissapears?
…cause suddenly a change
One so very strange…
So soon can a change come to pass
Where the mountain’s a cell at the end of the world
And we’re only watching through glass
And the people that pass
Their youth and their vigour
Striving in strides just to make their worlds bigger
Riding these rides of the blind and enthralled…
So suddenly it seems as if they have it all~!
So lost do we come in the wonders of others
And forget of the place where we fit
So costly the tab of the mindfuls we suffer
Forgetting that where we are’s it!
This is the garden!
This is the tree!
This is the mount where we wanted to be~!
This is the light that once shone in our eyes
The sight of the sun that’s beneath the disguise
This is the rise!
THIS is the vigour!
This was your cries when you made yourself bigger!
THIS is the trigger you wanted to pull!
You shot for the moon, and this is the goal!
You have all the tools! You’ve lost all the fears!
You’ve learned of the world in your shedding of years
You’ve steered to the edge of the earth and you peer
At the vastness of space where it all dissappears
You are the form that we came here to live
And all that it took, is all you can give
Be peaceful, and happy
The riot is done
She doesn’t even know~
She’s already won
